Walker corkscrews turn up with certain regularity, usually with the 1897 patented bell as seen here. However, Walker made many different corkscrews, and while most are marked, the easiest way to recognize a Walker from his prolific counterpart Williamson is in the means by which the handle is attached to the corkscrew; Walker's will have a pin in the end of the handle. But, for all the 5 dollar Walker and Williamson corkscrews out there, mainly netting a little more interest due to the advertising on their handles, some other Walkers are much harder to find, and are significantly different from their more common sibling. |
